Orthotics

Orthotics are orthopedic devices designed to treat or adjust various biomechanical foot disorders. Our custom-tailored orthotic devices are specifically crafted to meet the needs of our individual patients. Our clinicians perform a thorough assessment and create an impression cast. The orthotics are further customized from information gathered through analyzing foot function, lower limb biomechanics and gait analysis.

• When you take a step, you are using up to 200 muscles: Walking uses a great deal of muscle power - especially if you take your 10,000 steps.

• More than one-third of Canada’s elderly population (ages 65 and older) fall each year.

• Arthritis is more common among women (24.9%) than men (18.1%), and girls are twice as likely to develop juvenile rheumatoid arthritis as boys.
